Admission Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and should be academically, physically, and emotionally capable of meeting the essential tasks of the chosen program.
A high school diploma or its equivalent recognized by the U.S. Dept of Education may be required for some programs.
Students enrolling in a Post Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV ) program with 450 hours or more, are required to take a basic skills exam unless an exemption is met.
Practical Nursing program applicants are required to take a Health Education Systems Incorporated (HESI) exam.
Each Career Program has its own admission requirements. For example, the Practical Nurse Program which requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and a score of 70 or higher on the HESI assessment.
Our mission includes serving all community members, therefore, all students are considered for admissions.
All career programs are clock-hour, TCTC does not award credits.
Career Programs Admission Steps:
- Apply for financial, if applicable
- Complete Enrollment application
- Register, pay tuition and fees
- Basic Skills test (if applicable)
- Purchase books & supplies
- Complete student orientation
