Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality


The Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality program at Treasure Coast Technical College is a hands-on program that teaches students basic cooking, knife skills, safety, sanitation and nutritional information before moving into intensive culinary techniques and dishes.

When students successfully complete the program, they will leave with a State of Florida Food Handler Certificate (valid for 3 years) and a State of Florida Food Managers Certificate (valid for 5 years)

Hands-On Experience
Students will meet several times per week in our professional kitchen. During scheduled class times, students will spend most of their time in the kitchen learning new skills. Students will be expected to do the majority of reading and studying out of class.

This program covers numerous aspects of the culinary field. It does not cover management and finance. Treasure Coast Technical College follows all state curriculum guidelines.
